Why Registered Real Estate Negotiators Produce Better Sales Results?
Real Estate industry in Malaysia has come a long way and its governance and structure is also more established, compared to our peers in South East Asian countries. All the Real Estate Negotiators in Malaysia are required to register themselves with BOVAEP (The Board of Valuers, Appraisers, Estate Agents and Property Managers). Failing to do so, one is liable upon conviction to a fine not exceeding RM300,000 or imprisonment not exceeding three years or both, as spelled out under the Section 30 of the Valuers, Appraisers and Estate Agents Act 1981.
In Malaysia, real estate agency profession can be categorised into:
- a) Real estate negotiators (REN); and,
- b) Real estate agents (REA)
Without a doubt, successful Real Estate Negotiators can earn a decent income in Malaysia. But why only particularly those who are registered legally as the Real Estate Negotiators has the edge to achieve better sales results?
Pairing with right Real Estate Agency
Most of the people will study the real estate company before joining the firm. They will ensure that the agency is the right one for them and to provide them all the supports that they needed to success in this competitive business.
By weighing in the benefits such as terms of trainings, educations, calls, reputations, listing inventories, company supports and team’s supports, one can finally decide to join one company over another one.
Better Guidance from the Agency’s Team Leader
By joining the right Real Estate Agency, new agents will be put under the guidance of a team leader. The role of team leader is crucial as oftentimes agent requires support and motivation to perform well. Team leader will assist to instil a sense of confidence so that they take a positive approach to achieve company’s or personal’s goals as a whole. Team leader’s guidance is indeed key for agent’s success.
Focus on trainings
Most of the agency will provide two major trainings: New Agent training (so you can kick start your real estate business to earn an income) and on-going training (so you can continue to build and grow your business). In Hartamas Real Estate, we provide full-fledged trainings to our agents such as REN Success Series, 3 Months Mentoring by Team Leader, 365-Days Coaching, Pit Stop Training, Annual Sales Skill Training and Leadership Program.
Opportunity to get involved in the Project Sales
By joining agency and registered as a legal Real Estate Negotiators, one will have a chance to participate in the project sales. Project sales can be a lucrative source of income for Real Estate Negotiators. Agencies that are engaging in multiple projects sales can assist agents to diversify their income streams through selling sub-sales properties, renting properties and selling new project developments.
Awards and Recognitions
Recognition is important factor in employee engagement. The Aon 2018 Trends in Global Employee Engagement survey, conducted in 1,000 companies employing 8 million people globally, showed rewards and recognition as “the strongest driver of engagement”. The awards given by the agency will show company’s appreciation towards agent’s hard work. By rewarding the agent, it will spur agents to work harder and be more productive to deliver better sales results in the future.
