Eric Lim

Co-founder and Group Managing Director

With more than 20 years of experience in real estate practice, Eric Lim has been instrumental in steering the company to becoming one of the top players in the real estate industry.

Under his visionary leadership, Hartamas has gone beyond the local arena in providing total solutions in real estate to reputable and discerning developers, multinational companies, local corporations, government-linked companies and government ministry and departments.

As an inﬂuential ﬁgurehead in the industry, Eric was appointed as the President of Malaysian Institute of Estate Agent (MIEA) from 2017-2019. He was also formerly a Board Member in the Board of Valuers, Appraisers, Estate Agents and Property Management (BOVAEAP), which is a regulatory body governing the conduct of real estate in Malaysia. On the international frontier, Eric was the 1st Malaysian to be appointed as Director for National Association of Realtors (NAR), the world largest real estate body and was also the past Chairman of Asean Real Estate Network Alliance (ARENA).

In addition, he was bestowed as an Adjunct Professor by UCSI University.

Chairman of the Council of Presidents of Asean Real Estate Network Alliance (ARENA)

ARENA is a regional alliance of eight (8) national real estate associations of eight (8) countries namely Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Myanmar and Philippines. It has a total real estate practitioner exceeding 200,000 people servicing a population of more than 630 million.

Board Member of the Board of Valuers, Appraiser, Estate Agents & Property Manager (BOVAEAPM)

Regulator of the Malaysia real estate industry from 2008 to 2016 (9) years including in the following capacity:
– Member of the Executive Committee (EXCO).
– Chairman of the Estate Agency Practice Committee (EAPC).

Ex-Member of the Board of Directors in National Association of Realtors (NAR) based in USA

NAR is the world largest real estate associations based in Chicago and with a membership of more than 1.3 million people throughout the world.

FIABCI Malaysia is an international real estate federation based in Paris and operating in 60 countries.

In 2022, he was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Awards by MIEA for his contribution to the Institute and the real estate profession.

In 2019, he was awarded The Brand Founder Legacy Award by The BrandLaureate for his pivotal role in establishing and building Hartamas Real Estate Group.

Awarded The Real Estate Agent of the Year in 2019

In 2019, he was awarded The Real Estate Agent of the Year by Asean Real Estate Network Alliance (ARENA).

Bestowed the Estate Agent of the Year

In 2018, he was bestowed the Estate Agent of the Year by the Board of Valuers, Appraisers, Estate Agents & Property Manager (BOVAEAPM), a regulator of the real estate industry.

He was awarded the Real Estate Agent of The Year by Malaysian Institute of Estate Agents (MIEA) in the year of 2014.

Adjunct Professor by UCSI University

In 2018, he was also bestowed as an Adjunct Professor by UCSI University for his role in the university and contribution towards the real estate education with the aim of enhancing and elevating the real estate professionalism.

Tay Lee Chin

Co-founder and Executive Director

As the co-founder of Hartamas Group, Tay Lee Chin manages the company’s administration, ﬁnance, and the agency division.

With her caring and attention to details, has made Tay an experienced personnel in Human Capital and Relationship Management in order to make Hartamas a harmonious, conducive and productive working environment for all to deliver the best results for the clients.

Within the agency division, Tay plays an important role to inspire the company’s agents to embrace industry challenges with perseverance through good and tough times.

Tay is a Registered Estate Agent with the Board of Valuers, Appraisers and Estate Agents Malaysia.

Patrick Chong

Executive Director (Asset Management)

Patrick Chong is a Registered Valuer, Estate Agent and Property Manager with the Statutory Board of Valuers, Appraisers, Estate Agents and Property Managers (BOVAEPM).

He is also the member of the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM). He graduated from the University of Malaya in B.Sc (Hons) Estate Management. He started his career in the property valuation service with Henry Butcher Malaysia and subsequently joined Burgess Rawson Malaysia and IGB Corporation Bhd focusing on the property management of commercial and residential projects for the past 19 years.

He has an excellent track record in successfully managing all types of high-rise buildings for the esteemed corporate clients, building owners, joint management bodies and management corporations.

Louis Yeo

Executive Director (Valuation)

Louis is a Registered Valuer, Estate Agent and Property Manager with The Board of Valuers, Appraisers, Estate Agents and Property Managers (BOVAEPM) and Members of RICS, RISM and PEPS. He has about 10 years of experience in real estate valuation and agency services in Malaysia and 2 years in Cambodia.

Presently, Louis co-heads the valuation and consultancy business. He manages retail and corporate valuation in the company.

Throughout his years of experience, he has undertaken valuation of wide range of properties i.e. agricultural, residential, industrial and commercial properties for various purposes. His current areas of expertise include valuation of development lands, oﬃce buildings and hotels.

YS Lim

Director (Corporate Real Estate)

YS Lim is the Director of Corporate Real Estate. He has over 15 years of experience in the corporate real estate business and is a Probationary Estate Agents (PEA) with the Board of Valuers, Appraisers, Estate Agents and Property Managers Malaysia.

He has an excellent track record in successfully securing large oﬃce space for MNC, Local Corporations, GLC and Government Ministry & Department. He is also a trustworthy real estate agent that maintains a close cooperative relationship with all the landlords and clients.

YS is amongst the top leading Real Estate practitioner with experience in Corporate Real Estate. He also won the MIEA award for the Commercial REN of the Year for 5 consecutive years from 2015 to 2019.

Desmond Tho

Chief Operating Officer of Hartamas Real Estate (M) Sdn Bhd

Desmond Tho is the Chief Operating Oﬃcer (COO) of Hartamas Real Estate (M) Sdn Bhd and also the OUG Branch Director.

He has over 12 years of experience in the real estate business. He leads both the project marketing and agency for secondary market. He is also a trainer for Hartamas Real Estate Group and have trained many top sales real estate negotiators for both projects and sub sales in the past 8 years. He has excellent track record in successfully leading and managing project sales.
