The Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) program is initiated by the Malaysian Government which is designed to provide long-term visas for residents of those countries officially recognized by Malaysia, regardless of their race, religion, gender, or age. The program is primarily intended to be used by foreign retirees and working expatriates who are interested in having Malaysia as their second home.
Those who fulfill the criteria of the Programme will be offered a renewable 5 years multiple entry social visit pass and are allowed to bring their spouse, unmarried children below the age of 34, apply for a maid, and bring parents above the age of 60 as dependents.
Benefits
Sustain your nationality
MM2H offers a 5-year renewable visa that allows them to enter and leave Malaysia without any restrictions. This program also will not affect their current nationality.
Education
Applicants are allowed to bring their children who are below 21 years old and not married as dependents under the MM2H program. They can study in Malaysia by applying student pass.
Parents
Applicant are allowed to bring their parents to Malaysia for a period of 12 months.
Income tax
MM2H Visa Holders can enjoy tax exemption benefits in Malaysia under the Double Taxation Treaty. Income tax charged on territory basis instead of on a worldwide scope basis.
Registration of business
MM2H Visa Holders are allowed to start up business in Malaysia.
Domestic helpers
MM2H Visa Holders are allowed to apply for domestic helper.
Bringing in Pets
Applicants could check with the Veterinary Import Regulation should they want to bring in their pets to Malaysia.

Prepare application documents

Submission of documents

Government Preliminary Review
The government needs at least two to three months to review and decide the outcome of the application.
Review result (Conditional Approval)
Applicants are to stay in Kuala Lumpur for 7 days to do the following

Parents
Main applicant is allowed to bring parents aged 60 and above to Malaysia for 12 months under MM2H Program.
Children
Main applicant is allowed to bring children aged under 34 years old and not married as dependents under MM2H Program. Student
pass could be obtained to study in government, international or independent schools.
Fixed deposit
Main applicant is allowed to withdraw up to RM 500,000 in second year for approved expenses relating to house purchase, education for children in Malaysia and medical purposes.
